There are three types of positions:

• Marketing strategists

  As a marketing strategist, you are responsible for designing and managing marketing projects for our clients. You need to fully understand nurture marketing, email marketing, direct mail, and social media, and know how to use these techniques successfully to help small software companies grow.

• Marketing specialists

  If there is one type of marketing that you particularly enjoy and would prefer to do only that, this might be a good fit for you. We look for people who have expertise in a particular type of marketing, such as public relations or graphic design, as well as deep experience in the software industry.

• Virtual assistants

  If you are a virtual assistant who has experience working with small software companies, JMR might be an excellent place for you. We need people who understand our clients' businesses and have solid administrative skills. We will teach you how to implement marketing programs for our clients.

Getting paid

For any of these positions, you work at home and set your own hours. You are paid a flat rate per project or by the billable hour, depending on what type of work you are doing. You are an independent contractor, so you are responsible for paying your own taxes.

Enhance your skills

You take the responsibility for keeping current your marketing skills and your knowledge of the software industry. The time you spend doing this is not billable.

Requirements for partners

• 4+ years of marketing experience

• 3+ years of experience in the software industry

• A commitment to producing the highest quality results for our clients

• Excellent writing skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Excellent project management skills

• Deadline-oriented

• Ability to manage time effectively

• Highly ethical

• Nice person (we only work with people we like)
   

You'll need to provide

• Office space where you can work (with minimal child or animal noise)

• An up-to-date computer with basic office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Any additional software you need, such as Photoshop

• High-speed Internet access

• Phone and fax (you pay telecom charges or use VOIP)

• Up-to-date virus software, firewall, backup procedures
